Tiny Houses

Artists will create a neighborhood of tiny houses in order to explore some complex and interesting questions about how our choice of homes shapes our lives.

Do our choices bring us joy? How do they shape our connections with the people around us? In what ways will our choices change the lives of future generations?

Designed by Artists

Nine artists will be chosen to build tiny houses. Some will be teamed up with architects and engineers to help them realize their vision.

The stories that unfold will be woven into the exhibition as the the tiny neighborhood goes on the road, visiting people in the cities and towns where they live.

Asking Questions

Artists will ask, and sometimes answer, provocative questions.

We hope to encourage people to consider their choices more deeply, to see an expanded range of possibilities, and to try on nine new perspectives, as easily as they might try on a series of coats.
